Mud Monkey cannot fire outside pieces. All clay and glazes must be purchased at Mud Monkey if they are to get fired in our kilns. We use only certified non-toxic products.
Pottery Lessons .
Wheel Throwing with the fabulous and talented Gail Artin:
All classes are 6 weeks long. We meet once per week for 2 hours. Classes are $200.00 and include up to 25 lbs of clay, bisque firing, glaze instruction and glaze firing of two pieces, and free studio time for practice during the 6 weeks. Classes must be paid in full at time of registration. Classes resume again in January. Please call the studio to be put on the cancellation list, or to reserve a seat.
Homeschool Art!
Learn AND have fun!!!
Every Tuesday from 10 - 11:30am
Classes focus on clay, both handbuilding and wheel throwing. Classes are progressive, one skill building on another. We will also cover glass fusing, mosaics, fabric art, gourd art, and painting.
Homeschool Art is appropriate for children age 6 - 18. Younger children will be evaluated for readiness on a case by case basis. Projects are age appropriate.
Cost is $50 per month.
DROP-INS ARE CHARGED FULL PROJECT PRICE.
Resident Potters-
Are you a potter and need a place to hang your bat? Mud Monkey has six state-of-the-art pottery wheels and three large kilns. Wheels are available anytime there is not a lesson going on.
Our rates:
Hourly - $6 Daily - $14 Monthly - $40
These rates also apply to handbuilders. We have a slab roller, an extruder, and many tools to use. Clay, glazing, and firing sold seperately.
